2025 Long Lost Classmates

Long Lost Classmates

J Wad is a people person. Not only paying attention to Bumwad goings on but also stays in touch with non-Wad 1973 classmates. He recently visited three of our "Class of 73" classmates that fully played out their careers on the East Coast. They met in Boston for a reunion get-together while J Wad was there getting CEU's at the National AIA convention to keep his license alive.

M Geyer - Immediately after graduating from our UofM School of Arch, he and Marilynn moved to NY NY for Mike to earn his Masters from Columbia University. Mike and Marilynn got "hooked" on NY and decided to stay. Raised two boys in the middle of Manhattan. Mike and Marilynn started their own firm and had phenomenal success designing fancy remodels of NY condos & homes for the rich. Due to Mike's worsening dementia, they had to give up the practice. In 2020 they moved to a suburb of Boston to be close to one of their sons and his family.

M Joyce - Along with his wife, he built a very successful Children's museum consultancy practice based in Brooklyn NY. He has not retired yet! Mike took the train from Brooklyn to meet the group in Boston.

L (Bank) Weld - Was a perpetual student of architecture with multiple degrees. Ended up teaching Architectural History at Wentworth University in Boston.... think George Winterowd. Linda is now fully retired. (Editor's Note: To get the correct spelling of Winterowd I found his obituary. He died in 1983 at 60 years old which means that he would have been 45 to 47 years old when we had him as our professor! He was so young and yet seemed so old to us!)

L to R: M Geyer, M Joyce, L (Bank) Weld, J Wad
L to R: M Joyce, Marilynn G, M Geyer, Steve Weld (Linda's husband), L (Bank) Weld, J Wad
